As announced in the press release dated March 10, 2009,
Library careers in children’s literature celebrated in Second Life:
From 9:45 a.m. PT/SLT (Pacific Time/Second Life Time) until noon on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, the American Library Association’s (ALA) Recruitment Assembly will celebrate “Adventures in Children’s Literature: Careers for School, Public, and Academic Librarians” in Second Life.
Do you love children’s books? Are they inspiring you to consider a career as a librarian? Come join the assembly on ALA Island for an eclectic event celebrating library careers in children’s literature. We’ll hear from public librarians, school librarians and even academic librarians whose work involves promoting a love of reading in young people.
