ALA Salon Huron event 10/23 at 3:30 pm PT/SLT - the library round table discussion series on on ALA Island (196, 206, 29)
On Thursday, October 23rd, at 3:30 p.m. Second Life Time/Pacific Time at comfy Salon Huron on ALA Island (196, 206, 29), ALA Island Manager Oberon Octagon will talk about ALA Island and what it can do for you! All are welcome to attend!
Salon Huron can also be reached via the teleporter on the Main Stage of ALA Island (129, 105, 29). Guide your avatar onto the circle. Right-click on the circle to get the pull-down menu of choices, and click for the *Next Page* to get Salon Huron as a choice, and click the Salon Huron Button. Then left-click in the circle and click the Teleport option in the pie chart that pops up, and — swoosh! — there you’ll be at Salon Huron!
This gathering is an event of the ALA Virtual Communities and Libraries Member Initiative Group (ALA .... Feel free to ask questions about the group. All current ALA members are especially encouraged to join ALA VCL MIG and add their voices to the story of the American Library Association in Second Life.
Member Initiative Groups are defined in the ALA Handbook as “formed when a group of ALA members identifies a common concern for some aspect of librarianship and wishes to establish a short-term mechanism to meet about or to address that concern.
