I graduated from San Jose State University library school in 1991. After a short stint of working at the Apple Library and temping, I got my ideal job at a corporate research lab doing patent searches and maintaining a small library. I'll have been here 15 years in April 2007. In 2000-2001 I worked one day a week as a per diem librarian for the PlaneTree Health Library in San Jose and I continue to help them with special events like health fairs. The medical topics in which I have the most interest are women's health, mental health and emerging diseases.
I opened the Special Librarians of Second Life office in Cybrary City (45, 154, 24) where we are trying to figure out our skills can be useful inworld. I also work with the SF & Fantasy Portal and various other libraries on Info Island.
My first career was as an (underwater) archaeologist and I have a deep and abiding interest in history and human civilization. I worked for the state of Florida in the 1970s I did work on the Spanish plate fleets off the coast and studied paleoindians there as well.
I am involved in interfaith work and since 2002 have been one of the National Interfaith Representatives for Covenant of the Goddess. I am the host of the podcast Interfaith Today.
My hobbies are geocaching and marking my bills on Where's George. I also am involved in science fiction fandom.

Rosmairta, you have a pretty impressive collection of SL photos on Flickr! I just started taking a few SL pictures, but I have not yet tried to add them to my Flickr. I just may have to do that! Have a nice day!
